The NAS is shipped to you fully configured and ready to use out of the box. 2 units of 500Gb SATA harddisks are provided and configured in RAID1 mirror mode for non-stop service and easy maintenance. If one disk fails, the server remains fully functional. When data crash occurs, the administrator can be alerted by e-mail alarm and LED indicators. The failed drive can be replaced by hot swap without turning off the NAS. Intelligent data rebuilding will recreate the RAID1 with without any system downtime.
The NAS also supports Hard Disk Drive S.M.A.R.T which enables administrators to monitor the status of hard disk drive and check the potential problems. This tool helps to prevent the unexpected failure of hard disk and avoid critical data loss. Comprehensive Event Log System for all network services accessed by online users are all recorded. Server managers can monitor the status of the NAS closely. |
